Meant4 team duties:

Polish National Railways is one of the most strategic transportation companies on the Polish market. We have been asked to create new corporate website which will fulfill customer's needs.

Major goals when creating the new website were to let employees of Polish National Railways easily publish new content in certain areas of the webpage and to integrate the application with European system of railway schedules named Hafas.

Meant4 Team has been responsible for: project management, preparation of information architecture, development of application, optimization and deployment of new website on the market.

Major challenges during project development:

preparation of information architecture (each piece of information on the website is accessible in a range of maximum 3 clicks, no traffic logs available at that time)
first release of site had 30 requests per second while working on 1 LAMP server we had to make extensive use of drupal cache
front page is accessed by more than 100 000 unique visitors per day
