Homefit
Homefit is the largest distributor of tools for exercises in the Waterloo Region, Canada.
Meant4 Web Studio with Eyedoodle prepared information architecture, technical specification for the project and then passed to implementation phase of the Homfit website in order to meet customer requirements.
The entire page is based on a content management system Drupal while part of the presentation layer has been developed using the YUI library (Yahoo User Interface).
We have also used Flash technology so that the individual sections of the service could present full , high-resolution pictures as a background of page.
Major challenges during project development:
- changes in information architecture resulting in few weeks patching
- designer during design process did not take into account the users with weaker computers (in some places on the site we have more than 5 layers of transparency coming to each other)
- lack of communication with the customer, all communication takes place through our partner Eyedoodle
